Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15, 2020 through October 15, 2020 and is observed annually as a month-long celebration of the extensive history, diverse cultures, and contributions of the Latinx community in the United States. This timeframe spans the independence days of several Latin American countries including: Costa Rica, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua.
Starting September 15, and throughout the month, the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) will highlight Latinx staff, economic development opportunities for Latinx-owned businesses through the Business Enterprise Program (BEP) and ways to celebrate while social distancing on social media.
