The Illinois Manufacturers Association, in partnership with Comcast Business, has opened its 3rd Annual Makers Madness contest. Makers Madness is an online contest highlighting Illinois manufacturers and the many wonderful products produced right here in this state. Illinoisans will be able to nominate and vote for their favorite products made in Illinois. Representative Tony McCombie’s 71st District is home to several products including Elkay Water Fountains, Boetje Mustard, and Wahl Clippers.
“I am excited to once again have the ability to show off the amazing products created right here in the 71st District,” said Rep. McCombie. “Illinois is home to many talented, creative, and innovative individuals. I may be biased, but I will put our products toe to toe with anyone across the state. I hope everyone has the chance to go out and vote for their favorites. This is a great contest, and I thank the IMA and Comcast Business for putting it on.”
Nominations will run through March 20th. If you would like to nominate and vote on your favorite Illinois product, please go to www.makersmadnessIL.com. Nominations are limited to any product made in Illinois. Voting will be done in several rounds until a final round of four products is reached. The winner will be announced on April 27th and crowned the title of The Coolest Thing Made in Illinois.
