The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that starting Friday, Feb. 10, weight restrictions will go into effect on the following roads in Whiteside County:
• Garden Plain Road: 5 tons per axle (westbound lane only)
• Freeport Road: 11 tons
Depending upon the weather, the postings will be lifted on or before May 1.
