This week, State Representative Tony McCombie visited the Winnovation Robotics Team!
The impressive group of high school students is nothing short of accomplished; they recently won the regional competition and are now headed to the world championship competition in Houston. There, the students will compete against 600 teams from around the world, including Canada, Brazil and Israel. Each team will have two and a half minutes to play in the field, where the robot must retrieve and score game pieces.
McCombie enjoyed her visit with the team, and personally wished them success in their next adventure in Houston!
The Winnovation Robotics team is the FIRST Robotics Team with students from Winnebago Pecatonica High Schools. The World competition will run from April 19 to the 22.
