The Jo-Carroll Solid Waste Agency is hosting a recycling collection event at the Elizabeth Community Building in the rear parking area
Services Offered:
- Tire Recycling – $10 per tire (car, light truck, ATV, lawn mower, rims accepted)
- Single-Stream Household Recycling – $10 per household
- Includes: glass bottles/jars, plastics, metal cans, cardboard, newspapers, magazines, junk mail
- Battery Recycling – $1/lb. for small or rechargeable batteries; large lead-acid batteries are free
- Electronics with Screens – $25/item (TVs, monitors, laptops)
- Appliances – $10 each (refrigerators, washers, dryers, A/C units, microwaves, etc.)
- Fluorescent Bulbs – $1 each (under 4ft), $2 each (over 4ft)
- Free Items Accepted:
- Small electronics (printers, VCRs, cell phones)
- Small appliances (vacuums, coffee makers, holiday lights, etc.)
- Metal items (bikes, grills, lawn mowers, shelving)
- Unwanted Medications (No sharps)
Note: Paper shredding, paint, and hazardous household waste will not be accepted.
