Night Sky Viewing

Please join PAC at the Niabi Zoo Parking Lot for a tour of the late Summer night sky after sunset 7:02 pm. The nearly full Moon will dominate but the planets Jupiter and Saturn will also put on a show. Jupiter’s moon Io will transit Jupiter at 10:15. Neptune and Uranus should also make an appearance after 9:30. M27 (the Dumbbell Nebula), M8 (Lagoon Nebula), M17 (Swan Nebula) will be among the many objects we should be able to see as the evening progresses, weather permitting. Bring bug spray and please keep in mind restroom facilities are not available. Weather related updates will be posted on 9-18. FREE
